Heure-Exacte was created in Geneva in 2005 with a simple idea: to give everyone easy access to a correct, readable and independent time reference.

Since its beginnings, the project has been guided by three principles: precision, reliability and ease of use.

A simple and observable time source

Heure-Exacte favours a straightforward approach: clear time information, no mandatory account and respect for privacy.

Synchronisation with the server clock and the use of recognised time references make the service’s operation more transparent.

The creator

Pierre-Alain Savoy designed Heure-Exacte as a whole: the website, its technical architecture and its visual design. Since 2005, the project has pursued one aim: to make exact time simple, reliable and accessible.
